A new year brings change to the Oxford OHT Leadership & Strategy Council.

The Oxford OHT Leadership and Strategy Council (L&SC) is responsible for Ontario Health Team development, maturity, and success. They set the direction and priorities for the OHT, taking a strategic and collaborative approach to overcome challenges and seize opportunities. This council is made up of executive leaders from across our partnering organizations, including two co-chairs that lead this group and act as sounding boards for the OHT Operations Team.

The Oxford Ontario Health Team extends our gratitude to Randy Peltz, Executive Director of the Oxford County Community Health Centre, for his leadership and contributions as Co-Chair of the Council over the past year.  Reflecting on his time as Co-Chair, Randy shared:

“It has been my distinct pleasure to facilitate discussions & decision-making across the L&SC. As a contributing member to our founding Oxford OHT submission in May 2019, it’s been great to see the energy and determination experienced at that time continue to creatively evolve in response to local health & social service system concerns. Our consistent, collective lens on the social determinants of health & health equity serve as valuable guideposts, and I look forward to working with all L&SC member agencies to continue to serve Oxford County.”

As Randy transitions to a L&SC member role, we welcome Stephanie Nevins into the Co-Chair position. Stephanie brings a wealth of experience and leadership to this role. She currently serves as the Executive Director of the Ingersoll Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic (NPLC), where she has been instrumental in advancing team-based primary care and fostering patient-centered healthcare delivery alongside her co-lead Jessie Rumble, Clinical Director and Lead Nurse Practitioner. In addition to her professional role, Stephanie has been a committed community advocate, actively volunteering with the Tillsonburg District Chamber of Commerce since 2013.

As a founding member of the Oxford OHT, Stephanie has been deeply involved from the earliest stages, participating in all OHT application initiatives and serving on multiple committees since its official designation. Her dedication to collaboration and system improvement has been a driving force within the OHT network.

  • Promote Interprofessional Collaboration: Work with partners to optimize patient care delivery across various healthcare models.
  • Strengthen OHT Partnerships: Foster stronger connections between partner organizations through leadership communication and enhanced board-to-board engagement.
  • Support Community-Centered Initiatives: Help drive the development and communication of programs that meet the unique needs of our local communities.
  • Leverage Enablers: Advocate for the integration of digital technologies to improve care delivery, while building trust among healthcare providers and the broader community.
  • Measure Success: Establish key performance indicators to track progress, ensuring transparency with stakeholders and the community regarding the achievements and challenges of OHT initiatives.

Stephanie brings a clear vision and unwavering dedication to her new role as Co-Chair, and she looks forward to collaborating with all OHT partners to advance healthcare outcomes and strengthen community connections.

Please join us in thanking Randy for his contributions and welcoming Stephanie into this role. Together, we will build on the strong foundation of the Oxford OHT to create a healthier future for our communities.
